I downloaded a WRI file from ftp://ftp.uu.net, and file manager
always associates WRI files with WRITE, and this file is too long to
be viewed with write. I am trying to associate the file with amipro,
and make it an amipro document. If anyone can help me, please Email
me. Thank you

Jason,

To associate a different application with a document file:

1 Select the document you downloaded in the File Manager.
2 Choose the Associate command from the File menu.
3 Do one:

   - Select Amipro if it appears in the scolling list box and click OK.

   - Click Browse if Amipro doesn't appear in the list, go to the
Amipro directory and select it's main program file.
(It wil ends with a file extension of EXE). Click OK twice.

I don't use Amipro, but I expect that you can also start it, use the Open
command from the File menu to open the document you downloaded, do a Save
As and make sure if there are file format choices that you select the one
for Amipro. After you save the document using the Amipro format, it should
automatically be associated with that word processor.
