hi
I need help on this : when I insert an audi cd, it starts the cd player,
and the cd player starts playing but there is no sound, even if I change
my speakers' volume... I also can't open the program "volume control"
(maybe it is not the same name, I own the french version of win98), I
tried to install it with the win98 cd but it didn't do anything...
Please help me!

Try to install the "volume control"

GOTO to Control Panel / Add-remove program / Install and uninstall Window /
click on the "multimedia" and see if the "volume control" is checked
