Hi!

I have a problem with my computer. I run Windws NT 4.0 Server on a Cyrix
686 based computer.
The problem starts right after I starts my computer. If I run a 16bit
program or a Dos program, my
computer return an error message; Can not find file: NETWORK.DRV.
But this happens only the first time I run a 16bit program or Dos program.
Then I push the ok button on the error message, and the error never return,
until next time I restart
my computer (or shut it down, and the on). I have searched the NT CD for
this file, and can not find
it. Does anyone knows what the problem could be?? Or what I should do to
correct this problem??

I have also done a repair installation of Windows NT.

Thanks for any help or reply's in advance!!!

Ronny,
I just recently had the same trouble after mistakenly installing the Win95
ISDN 1.1 package on my WinNT 4.0 server. After days of looking for the
answer I decided to check the registry on my computer against another
server. What I found is in the hive HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\WOW\boot on the computer with this trouble that the
string value of "network.drv" was missing. After adding the string value
and setting it to "wfwnet.drv" the trouble went away. The
HKLM\......\WOW\boot.description key also has a string value "network.drv"
with a value of "Lan Support" ( in my case this value was still there ).
Hope this helps with your situation.
