It's 04 Jun 98 14:41:10, We'll return to Nick-dot-Brown@coe-dot-fr and All's discussion of ARE YOU MCSE/CNE CERTIFIED.. YET? Ni> Summary: MCSE may be great for getting hired, but make sure the people Ni> are also actually good and above all can cope in a crisis. Still, I think MSCE is valuable. However, a company looking at hiring should take both the "on paper" qualifications, as well as the practical experience of applicants into account. Someone who has networked everything in sight with years of experience, and never got their MSCE would be a good candidate for many jobs, IMHO. OTOH, a purely "on paper" MSCE candidate is worth considering, if you're prepared to train the person in "real world" circumstances. Given that the MSCE itself (should) demonstrates a willingness to study, there could be considerable potential in training the person to become a good administrator and giving them the practical experience they need. . At the prompt, remove disk, spit on it, then retry. -- |Fidonet: Tony Langdon 3:632/367.2 |Internet: tlang@freeway.apana.org.au | | Standard disclaimer: The views of this user are strictly his own.
