How to Get ADSL (PPPoE) & ICS Working Together
#22

I have 1 desktop computer running Win98SE wtih 2 NIC (1 for ADSL modem, 1
for network) and another DesktopWin95 (with one NIC).
I have previously installed ICS and got it to work off the Win98 as the host
and over DUN.
And the sharing worked fine.
Network was Cat5 through a small hub.
Yeterday I got ADSL installed. Its on the second NIC of ther host.
I have got ADSL working but have had to deinstal ICS.

I can get ADSL working with second NIC installed but ICS seems to stop the
Browser and Outlook finding the ISP.
Seems to be a binding issue with TCP/IP. I have followed the instructions
carefully in:
http://www.annoyances.org/win98/features/ics.html
However ICS and ADSL which uses PPPoE seem to be unable to work together.
The Install also installs drivers from Network TeleSystems PPPoE Adaptor
(NTSP3) which is a enhanced 32 bit NDIS driver and binds it to TCP/IP as
well as th NIC.

Are there any useful instructions anywhere on getting ADSL and ICS working
together.
I know it can work.

No. I used the setup via LAN options.
I still could not get ICS working, but I have Wingate through Enternet PPPoE
now working-using it right now!
