Hi guys, I hope you can help me with this one. I have just tried to install perl on a windows 98 machine. I needed to add the line: c:\bin to the path statement. I installed perl just to c:\ c:\bin was where the perl exes are The current path was: path=D:windows;D\windows\command I saw this at the command line when I typed path I then just tried to add c:\bin to this by typing: path=C:\bin;D:windows;D\windows\command I then changed directories to c:\bin and tried to execute the following: C:\bin:>perl example.pl It worked. I then closed the command line I then reopened, and wanted to see if c:\bin was still in the path statement. It was not! Question: What am I doing wrong guys? HOw do I make this a permanent part of the new path statement? Thanking you in advance...... I went to a command prompt
