I'd like to grab a copy of NT 4.0 Server and put it on an extra PC,
just to play with....

I've seen NT 4.0 Server listed for sale in the mail order rags -

They list it as:
	full version
	upgrade version
	live upgrade version
	competitive upgrade version

any ideas on what the differences are,
where I should look for the best prices for a personal NT server -
and what the upgrades might look for on the disk ? :)

Just what it says, full version for those who haven't purchased it
before or aren't upgrading

>	upgrade version
For upgrading from previously installed version of NT Server 3.51

>	live upgrade version
Never heard of this one before

>	competitive upgrade version
For upgrading from Novell Netware, OS/2, Banyan, etc.

We saw the Full Version of Windows NT 4.0 Workstation
(no big difference with Server and you can even toggle a "switch"
and turn it into Server, which is also illegal and Microsoft does not
like this...) for $65.00 in the College of DuPage Computer show.

Also, we found Office 97 Professional for $115.00 (full version NOT
upgrade),
Corel 6.0 for $36.00, Visual Basic 5.0 Professional for $75.00... How do
they do this???

There is one computer show at College of DuPage (Wheaton?) every
month. I don't know when the next one is but it is worth going to.

P.S. If it makes you feel better, I don't make any money on this
advertising or on your purchases. I am just a happy customer...
