recommendation for ISA ISDN card needed

Hi,

I am looking for ISA ISDN cards to be used with Windows NT Server 3.51
on a Pentium class machine.

I don't need fancy options like built-in analog modem or analog ports.
My only requirements are:

- ISA bus with support for IRQ > 10
- drivers for Windows NT 3.51 (and 4.0 beta) and MODEM.INF file
- built-in NT1
- BONDING and MLPPP supported

Do you have any recommendation or any comments ?

Thank you.

PS:
If you happend to be a reseller, please fax me a quote including UPS Express
shipping to Montreal, QC, Canada. Fax number is 514-398-1290.

The DigiBoard DataFire fits all these requirements, except for MP. There
is currently no kernel support in NT for MP - it is in the 4.0 beta, but
doesn't appear to work yet. So you probably won't find an internal card
that will give you MP under NT yet.

I suggest the Lion Datapump multiple terminal modem adaptor,
you can also use your existing communication software for sending and
receiving faxes, connections to billboards, etc.

The Datapump can also do PPP sync and act as a router.

Have a nice day,

Hi

What is "MP"?
I'm looking too for a ISDN ISA card adapter for NT. The only requirement I
need is for using RAS (for incomming calls and callback) over a channel
of my ISDN line. Currently this line supports an ISDN adapter for a
router. My whishes is to use the 2nd channel of the ISDN for RAS, while
the other one is used for the router.
Any suggestions for that?. Is the DigiBoard OK?. How much it costs?

Thanks.

"MP" is the PPP Multilink Protocol defined in RFC 1717. It is a
scheme of combining 1 or more serial links, whether modems, ISDN,
T1, T3, SONET, or wet string, into a bundle that acts like a single
link running at about the sum of the speeds of the component links.

ISDN Bandwidth Capabilities of Windows NT
Article ID: Q133704
Revision Date: 04-AUG-1995

The information in this article applies to:

 - Microsoft Windows NT Workstation versions 3.5 and 3.51
 - Microsoft Windows NT Server versions 3.5 and 3.51

SUMMARY

PPP Multilink Protocol (PPP MP) is a technology that provides
up to 128 kilobytes per second (kb/s) wire speeds on a single
ISDN line by combining two B-channel calls. Each B-channel
provides a 64 kb/s link.

Although Microsoft does not support the multilink protocol on any
of our currently released products, it is possible to achieve
approximately 128 kb/s from a Windows NT RAS client to a Windows
NT RAS server using Channel Aggregation.

MORE INFORMATION

Channel Aggregation is a proprietary method designed by Digi
International (the makers of Digiboard) that allows speeds
greater than 64 kb/s using 2 B- channels. To attempt to use
speeds greater than 64kb/s, you can modify the phone book entry
by editing the entry, choosing the ISDN button, and entering 2
in the Channels to Use category.

For more technical information on the PPP Multilink Protocol,
see RFC 1717. This RFC can be found on the World Wide Web at:
