I have currently installed NT 4.0 workstation on a PC running Win95. When I select MS-DOS on the start up menu the PC hangs and does not go into Win 95, the NT 4.0 works fine. Can some recommend the correct remedy to cure this problem

In my case worked, hope it does also in your case. Cheers.

Other people at the seminar had also had problems - usually works OK under NT, but Win95 then detects 'new hardware' and needs to be reset. This appears to be a particular problem with Plug and Play cards.

I have been running Win95/NT 4.0 Workstation in a dual boot configuration for a while now with no problems. You need to install Win 95 first and then NT. Then on bootup, you can choose between Win 95 or NT!

Or if you have NT installed first you can install 95 then use the NT emergency repair disk to reinstall the master boot record. Remember that 95 can't see NTFS partitions nor NT see FAT32. -- Dave Mills Home: Davemills@ravesw.demon.co.uk Reading, Berks England
