Sanyo CRD254, parity, and Windows NT

The NT installation guide says that SCSI-CDROM drives need parity enabled
to work with NT. Mine is a Sanyo CRD254, and I have no spec sheet on it.

(1) Is this drive known NOT to work with NT? (It's not on the Oct95
compatibility list).

(2) In case Fry's Electronics won't give me a spec sheet on it even though
I bought it there, is there any way I can get one? (A call to 800
directory assistance didn't get me anywhere; nor did a Lycos search --
beyond the fact that the CRD254 is a quad speed)

(3) What about parity on this drive?

Thank you kindly,
dn
