Corel Draw 4.0 - Under Windows NT 3.5 - Disk Full Error

G'day,

I'm hoping that someone may be able to offer some assistance with a problem
I am experiencing.

I am trying some other things but would appreciate assistance if someone
is able to render same.

Basically, when attempting to save a data file with Corel 4.0, corel
responds with the message:

Not enough disk space to save file c:\test.cdr

The drive has ample storage available. I have tried with FAT and NTFS
drives and the problem is the same.

I have tried with some of the applications which accompany Corel, and they
all appear to work correctly. I reinstalled the application and that too
did not help.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

A follow up to my own message. Perhaps it might assist someone else
experiencing the same problem.

A call to Microsoft resolved the problem for me (at a cost).

Briefly: When attempting to save files from within Corel Draw 4 the system
would respond with

"Not enough disk space to save file c:\xxx.cdr"

The fix which works is as follows:

When saving the drawing there is an option on the save screen titled
"Image header". A drop down menu allows you to select between:

        None
        1k (mono)
        2k (mono)
        4k (colour)
8k (colour) (For accuarcy I should point out that it
actually spells it color :) )

The solution is to select one of either None, 1k or 2k. Not the two colour
options.

After that proceed as normal.

Hope this helps someone.

Corel=AE Draw 4.0

When choosing Save As from the File menu, the error Not enough diskspace
may appear, because the application is trying to load its own 16-bit
driver, which is not supported under Windows NT. To solve this, select
None or Only Mono Formats for the Image Header option.

I got a similar error trying to save from Corel 3. The way around it is to
save the file with a monochrome header. There is also a problem importing
bitmapped files. Corel responds with "Could not load the rasterizer"

ditto Sean's solution for Corel 4 under Windows NT (any version). Only
since Corel 5, which is 32-bit compliant, can you save a file with all
defaults on, i.e. colour headers.
