I recall it being pointed out that HPFS partitions could not be read under NT 4. I also recall it being pointed out that there was a hack in the registry that enabled the NT 3.51 HPFS driver ( whatever it was called ) to be loaded. Can anybody geive me exact details of what driver I need to save from my 3.51 configuration and exactly how I enable it in the NT 4 registry ? Cheers, J/. -- John Beardmore

I believe this works, but have not tried it myself. The usual
disclaimers that you use this at your own risk and modification to the
registry may get you into deep trouble.
Copy the PINBALL.SYS from the NT 3.51 media to
%systemroot%\system32\drivers.
Modify the following registry entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\SERVICES\PINBALL
Add: ErrorControl: REG_DWORD: 0x1
Group: REG_SZ: Boot file system
Start: REG_DWORD: 0x1
Type: REG_DWORD: 0x2
Then reboot.

I still have a dual development system here and don't plan to drop OS/2; we se it mor a case of supporting win32 as well. Cheers, J/. -- John Beardmore
