reduce flicker in activex control by using double-buffering?

Hello,

I'm looking for a way to reduce flickering in an OCX control in a
Borland C++ Builder application. The particular control is the netmanage
HTML control. Although the documentation describes a technique to reduce
flickering by turning off the redraw property while the control is being
updated, this does not eliminate all flicker. There is still a very
quick blink when the control apparantly erases it's background before
drawing the image.

What I am wondering is if there is a generic solution to this problem.
i.e. some way to double-buffer the output of any OCX control. Obviously,
I don't have the source code to the control, so it can't be modified
itself.

I do need to preserve the interface of the control (i.e. being able to
click in it's client area and use the scrollbars).

Any ideas?

Thank You,

Scott Baker, smbaker@primenet.com
