Indeed, many users of Microsoft Front Page will have found it pretty much
necessary to switch this facility off. (I think particularly of those with
the Personal Web Server on a self-standing machine. If they leave the
Connect to the Internet as Needed option on in Explorer then when they
attempt to preview their web pages, their browser will want to connect to
the Internet even though the pages are on the local machine.)
