TEdit and \0

I have created an app that has a bunch of TEdit controls. I need the user to
enter information in Hex format. Such as 00 or 0A or 09 or AA or F0 ....
The problem I see right off is when I do a GetText, the first char is a 0
(zero) and it ends it because it thinks it is terminated. Then I need to
convert it from ASCII to HEX. How do I read it in so it does not think it is
terminated and then convert it to a hex number? I am using Borland 5.02,
C++, and W95.

Thanks in Advance.
Kevin
