We are currently developing a 32bit Windows application which is required to read from and write to various external file formats, such as Excel, 123, Quattro Pro and SPSS. To this end, could anybody suggest how we approach this problem. It is the intention to be able to carry out the reading/writing without the external application present. If anybody could point me in the direction of a suitable class library (MFC compatible) or OLE Control I would be very grateful. Many thanks in advance -- Steve Clark

MFC has a database class that works with ODBC objects. I know there's an ODBC driver for Excel, 123 and Quattro Pro. I haven't heard if there's a driver yet for SPSS, but I'm sure there is.
