[I think] this is a dead end. You would probably be better of using a
timer, either
install a WM_TIMER or use the timer callbacks in the MMSYSTEM depending
on the
resolution you want. You don't say anything about how you keep the
animation running
while in focus, not OnIdle I hope;-). You'd be better off only using one
method
than both e.g. OnIdle and a timer callback.
