On the MSDN CD there is a rather lengthy definition of RTF and a
sample parser for it. This will read RTF and there is enough of a
skeleton for you to put whatever code you want in around it.

As far as converting RTF to DOC (?), I assume you want to end up with
a Word for Windows file. I'm not sure the Word for Windows file
format is documented anywhere, so I think the only converter is the
one that comes with Word for Windows. Since the interface to it isn't
defined, you probably will end up just calling Word for Windows
anyway.

It would be possible to write a macro which starts up, opens an RTF
file, converts it to a Word document format, saves it, and then either
quits or moves on to the next input file.
