I'm trying to make a String class DLL with Borland C++ 4.0. I couldn't
link in the operator + function (undefined symbol). I ran TDUMP on the
lib file and, sure enough, operator + isn't listed (although it compiles
fine) ... neither are any other friend functions ...
From the String class declaration in the header file ...
class _CLASSTYPE String
{
... <other functions> ...
friend const String operator + (const String &s1, const String &s2);
}
From the code ...
const String operator + (const String far &s1, const String far &s2)
{
... <some code> ...
}
Is there anything I can do, besides write a gazillion operator + functions
to handle different types?
Please e-mail me ... I don't know if I'll be able to check this group
before Thanksgiving (here in the good ol USA)
Thanks a bunch,
Mark Madrilejo
