Hi! Please forgive me, if this is OFF-topic - I am not so familiar with these international groups. My system: Windows 3.11 on a 486 DX 2/66, 8Mb, 6xCD, Soundblaster Pro My problem: I`ve just installed an application that uses Quicktime Video (it is the Star Trek Omnipedia CD-ROM by Simon and Shuster). The included version of Quicktime is 2.0.2.44. If I install this one, the movies are more than poor: Slideshows (about 1/2 fps) with interrupted sound. With my older Version of Quicktime wich is V. 2.00.0032 thze movies were excellent, even in double size mode. I tried to reinstall the older Quicktime, but this leads to system crashes after using the videos in the Omnipedia: The whole system is halted or little pieces of sound are repeated endlessly. The "sound problem" is mentioned in a readme wich came with the Omnipedia. They say it is a problem located in the sound driver for the Soundblaser pro... and why didn`t the problem appear with any other software??? So please!!! If you have any idea how to solve this, or if you perhaps have the same software and had the same problems, please answer! As I mentioned I am not so familiar with these international newsgroups, and so I`ve set the follow up to my e-mail adress! Greetings from cold and windy germany!
