Hi there.Does anybody have any comments on the speed of Visual Basic version 1.0 or 2.0 ? Are the programs compiled by Visual Basic much slower than the FORTRAN or C programs? I am trying to write a program using Visual Basic to do some serious number crunching,e.g. sigular value decomposition of a large matrix. The memory problem can be partially solved using the Windows enviroment but the speed right now is the major concern. If somebody has some experience with this problem, can you drop me a line? By the way,can the Dynamic Link Library files created using FORTRAN or C compilers increase the speed? Thanks in advance. -- PING ZHONG MECHANICAL AND AEROSPACE ENGINEERING UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA CHARLOTTESVILLE,VA 22901
