>I am also currious how to develop applications that >can communicate with other instances of the program >running in different machines on a network >(peer-to-peer architecture (?)) If you try to implement something like DDE over the network, than you should try to get info about the Application Control Architecture (ACA) Services from Digital Equipment Corp. Just that product enables you to communicate with network PC and establish DDE links. I am currently working on a paper for my diploma concerning network DDE. By the way, you should also try to get information about Windows for Workgroups. I am 99% sure they got that work. --Matthias -- /-----------------------------------------------+----------------------------/ | mats@mats.rni.sub.org (sweetest home)| Tel. : GER-6221-802031 | | czwikla@mansw1.enet.dec.com (hardest work)| Address: In der Aue 30 a | | matthias.czwikla@fra.mts.dec.com (even harder)| 6900 Heidelberg | /-----------------------------------------------+----------------------------/
