I am writing an application in VB. I would like to periodically check to see if another apllication is active and if it is send a message to it to save it's current file. I know that I can do this using appactivate and sendkeys, but the other application has to be maximized to use sendkeys, and this is annoying to have the other application suddenly maximize form an icon while you are working on something else. Can anyone tell me how to send a message to another application telling it to save its current work? Please be as explicit as possible as my C programming experience is somewhat limited. I have tried using the SendMessage function, but I can't figure out what message to send. Thanks, Jim Danforth
