DDEML and Getting group info from PROGMAN

Folks,

I am writing an app and am trying to use DDEML to get info about all the
programs in the Program Manager. I am trying to use the DdePostAdvise along
with the DdeConnect and one of the XTYP Advise messages. I have had no luck
so far. Could any of you guide me in this dark alley and let me know the
exact sequence in which these things should happen. I am using PROGMAN as the
topic and GROUP as the item for the communication. I am not sure, though,
that my implementation/understanding is correct.

Any help in this matter will be deeply appreciated.

Thanks
Ajay.

P.S: Please mail to my email directly, if you can (shah@wg.com).

I'm not certain that that's wrong because various implementations
of DDE use different words for the same things, and, worse, use the same
word for different things. BUT you might try using PROGMAN for the topic and
the item as well. (Where I come from the "application" and the "topic" are
both supposed to be PROGMAN - there is no "item", but regardless, the string
"GROUP" never comes up...)

Don't you guys find it tedious typing the same thing
after your signature each time you post something?
I know I do, but when in Rome...

Oops, sorry, excuse me, never mind. Forget what I said - please
ignore previous post. I was on the wrong page...
