HELP! Problems compiling Win32 projects with Borland C++ 4.52

I'm having trouble compiling Win32 projects in BC++ 4.52. I have example
projects from the _Teach Yourself Windows 95 Programming in 21 days_
book by Steve Calvert. All I do is open the project and try to compile
and run it.

EVERY time I try to compile them for Win32, I get the following error:

WINNETWK.H 783: Only one set of overloaded functions can be "C"

Viewing the source brings be to this section in WINNETWK.H (a header
file that comes with the compiler):

DWORD APIENTRY
MultinetGetConnectionPerformanceW(
        LPNETRESOURCEW lpNetResource,
        LPNETCONNECTINFOSTRUCT lpNetConnectInfoStruct
        );

The help file gives this explanation:

"C++ functions are by default overloaded, and the compiler assigns a new
name to each function. If you wish to override the compiler's assigning
a new name by declaring the function extern "C", you can do this for
only one of a set of functions with the same name. (Otherwise the linker
would find more than one global function with the same name.)"

The funny thing is, if I start a new Win32s project from scratch, this
doesn't happen. Also, if I compile with the makefile on the command
line, this doesn't happen.

I am using WIndows95, and Borland C++ 4.52 fully installed.

I have read of a patch to upgrade 4.52 to 4.54 or something, or to fix
bugs in the header files. Can anyone help me with the problem, or direct
me to where I can get these patches (if they exist)? I couldn't find
anything like this on the Borland web site.

Thanks in advance. Please email your reply if possible.
