FindClose slowness. (in NT?)

I'm having a problem with FindClose in NT ( maybe 95/98 too but I
haven't tested there yet ).

It appears that sometime when I call FindClose it seems to just hang
there for a while. What's up? Anyone have a suggestion for what to do?
