HELP! Misconfig in w95

Yesterday I have downloaded two applications from VISIO Corp. (Swimlanes
demo) and CuteFTP (CuteFTP 2.0) web sites. After installation I have
noticed several problems in my win95 operation:
- The w95 Explorer makes a soft and quick scroll of the display when
pointing to files or opening folders (it did not behave like this before) -
not bad

- The Properties windows/panes which I access to through Control Panel has
augmented its size, and I can not access to the <OK> and <CANCEL> buttons,
because they are outside the screen limits. In some cases they are in, but
I can not see the <OK> or <CANCEL> text, and I see a line instead inside
the buttons - very bad! I can not change my configuration!
(this is the same on the IE 'options' window)

- The text font of windows tabs in Panel Properties windows has enlarged
its size to near 12 p

- The favorite links icons on the Microsoft Explorer (3.02, spanish)
favorites toolbar are smaller, and the text associated shows only one
letter and three points ("T...")

I have tried to reinstall my w95, but the installation application detects
an error in w95 installation, and request me to close all programs and
reinstall win95 each time I try to reinstall.

I think Swimlanes installs some VBA code -does it matter?

Any suggestion that help me to prevent erasing all my win95 and reinstall
it from scratch?

My computer is a Toshiba laptop T2100 with 20 Mb RAM and b&w display panel.
The disk (250 Mb) is compressed with DriveSpace to 640 Mb. Win95 v.
4.00.950 B. Microsoft Plus! Installed.

Thanks you in advance!

Have you tried to reboot it to safe mode and reinstall the display drivers?

As I am working with a laptop, rebooting in safe mode prevents me for
accesing the external CD unit, and I can not reinstall Windows. In safe
mode the problem persists.

Well if you can boot to DOS and see the external CD, you can copy all the
files in the CD's WIN95 folder to a folder on your hard drive and reinstall
from there.

Thank you - but what I am trying to do is solve my display trouble without
reinstalling win95!
(Please read first message in thread to see what the problem is about)
Any suggestions?
