Hi, can anyone help? I'm trying to set up a PC to be able to boot into windows 95 OR windowsNT, I guess I'll have to partionion the hard drive, but how do I save my self having to reset the active partion each time I need to change OS.. Answers on a postcode (or e-mail fridge@globalnet.co.uk) The first 5 answers out the virtual bag get a signed e-mail from moi! Thanks in advance for any help, fridge :-))

If you are happy using the FAT file system you can have them both on the one partition. Install Win95 first and when you install NT it will handle the dual boot for you. ed wrote in article <01bcac2f$8236c880$LocalHost@default>... >Hi, can anyone help? > >I'm trying to set up a PC to be able to boot into windows 95 OR windowsNT, >I guess I'll have to partionion the hard drive, but how do I save my self >having to reset the active partion each time I need to change OS.. > >Answers on a postcode (or e-mail fridge@globalnet.co.uk) > >The first 5 answers out the virtual bag get a signed e-mail from moi! > >Thanks in advance for any help, > >fridge :-)) > >

In this way the BOOT.INI file let you boot with Win95 or WinNT on the same partition (Primary Partition). Federico

Partition Magic does a pretty good job of managing this. (plus a few other tricks) Federico Babelis wrote in article ... > > >ed wrote in article <01bcac2f$8236c880$LocalHost@default>... > >>Hi, can anyone help? >> >>I'm trying to set up a PC to be able to boot into windows 95 OR windowsNT, >>I guess I'll have to partionion the hard drive, but how do I save my self >>having to reset the active partion each time I need to change OS.. >> >>Answers on a postcode (or e-mail fridge@globalnet.co.uk) >> >>The first 5 answers out the virtual bag get a signed e-mail from moi! >> >>Thanks in advance for any help, >> >>fridge :-)) >> >>You yould be first install Win95 and then WinNT. >In this way the BOOT.INI file let you boot with Win95 or WinNT >on the same partition (Primary Partition). > >Federico > >
