Is there any way to control which files Windows 95 "hides" via the Explorer
"View/Options" area?  I.e., Win95 hides files such as: "real" hidden files,
*.DLL, *.VXD, *.SYS, *.386, etc., etc.  I'd like to select some of these
myself individually, but can't figure out how.

Select the file you'd like to hide, click on File and go to properties
and check Hidden.  Then go back and hide file types, click refresh to
finalize.

easily done. i gather u want to hide some files of your choice?
just highlight the file u want to hide, and right click it and choose
properties. put an x in the box "hidden". now make sure its on hide
files in view/options. there u go! they will be hidden.

Hat das mal jemand mit der deutschne Version ausprobiert? Bei mir
funktioniert das nicht, bzw. mein Explorer stuerzt uebelst ab. Wie sieht
das denn bei Euch aus?

es liegt wahrscheinlich daran, dass Du in den Anzeigeoptionen ALLE
ausgewaehlt hast ... also auch versteckte Dateien!!!
