I am currently running a Pentium 120 system with 32 mb ram and a quantum 540mb ide hard disk (with lba mode - only 32bit capable using qd6580 drivers) and wfwg 3.11 o/s. video is ATI Mach64. I have twice attempted to upgrade to Win95 and received the following error (after set up was finished and restarted my computer): disk i/o error, replace disk and press return I was able to restore my original configuration from my boot disk, but the first time through my system was garbled (win95 not completely uninstalled) anyone else ever encountered this error? Any suggestions or comments would be most appreciated. Isaac Bull Bassoon/Contrabassoon, Vancouver Opera Orchestra and Freelance legal assistant New Westminster, B.C., Canada

Sounds like the bios lba mode and the drive overlay software may be conflicting. Try setting the bios to not use lba mode. Check the Help files of your overlay software. There may be some setup hints to resolve these types of conflicts.
