Regularly - but not everytime - my win95 machine completely hangs requiring a power off 
following the disconnection of my modem (from the Internet) or my HPC.

It is at the exact moment that I hear the modem click or the HPC beep to signal 
disconnection.

The mouse and keyboard are frozen, CTRL+ALT+DEL has no effect, etc.

Then when I reboot, I'm taken through Scandisk, etc.

Any ideas ? I'd appreciate a reply through email as well as my HPC has problems handling 
the throughput on these groups.
