I recently had a problem with Win3.1 and installing a second HD. This is a Followup post to that problem. I have a 386 SX IBM compatible computer that has an Appian Technology mother board using a modified Quadtel BIOS. This is an Appian Technology modification and in no way reflects on the Quadtel BIOS. I would highly recommend against buying any products from Appian Technology. There is a serious bug in the Appian BIOS modification that prevents using a second IDE hard disk when running MS Windows as well as several other software packages. I contacted Appian Technology technical support and after getting the run-around for a couple of weeks, they freely admit their BIOS has bugs and that the programmers have since moved on to other companies. "SORRY" Their solution was quite simple.... Don't install a second HD. This was their solution to my problem. I imagine their attitude would be similar for any products they market.
