Has anybody succeeded to install WIN3.1 under DR-DOS 5.0?
I have a 386/25 clone with 8M RAM and after setup disk #2 
comes the message:

	Standard Mode: Fault in MS-DOS Extender
	registers...

There are no memory resident programs present in the memory.
Any idea what goes wrong?
BTW I have had no troubles with WIN3.0.

Lots of HD action when starting win3.1

 Lately, when I start windows, my hard drive light flashes and you can
hear it searching (or reading, or writing).  This continues for at least
five (5) minutes before windows displays its banner.

What is taking so long ?  How can I find out ?
