After three days of trying to get a Creative Labs Videoblaster
RT-300 to work in the following system (with an almost empty
config.sys and autoexec.bat and virgin windows 3.11 except for
the Rt-100 driver, Video for Windows and LE Premiere), I am just
about to give up. I have tried the default IRQ 10 and memory
address, making sure the IRQ is made available to the ISA in the
Endeavour Board's BIOS (recently updated to the latest from
Intel).

The message I get is 'Can't connect to capture driver' when
selecting capture in Premiere.

P120
32MB 70ns EDO RAM
256K Burst Cach module
Windows For Workgroups
DOS 6.22
Endeavour Board

Has anyone else had any experience installing one of these
boards?

Someone gave me some helpful advice about clearing NVRAM via DIP
switch 4, and I *thought* that had done the trick thismorning.
However, on trying any of the window options, the response was
sluggish or non-existent.

Now the symptoms are the same as before, ie just the 'can't
connect to capture driver'. On exiting Windows, I get a PROGRAM
message saying that if I close the application...blah blah blah..
but I can't do anything, and have to hit reset or power off and
on. Exiting windows from anywhere other than Premiere is fine so
long as I have not been in Premiere, so I think it has something
to do with releasing use of the driver..

I'm going to try another board in the morning. but in the
meantime, I'd like to hear from any other Pentium system owners
who have tried the RT-300 Videoblaster.

Is there any software which can check out what's in a slot?

Can you give some more details? I may have to return it today?
