Hello all, I am looking for a drawing program which is "perfectly compatible" with WordPerfect 6.0b DOS. "Perfectly compatible" means no conversion at all. Basically, what I want to do with a drawing program is to draw various flow charts and figures--arrows, lines, circles, rectangles, and of course some texts. Any suggestions? I have been importing drawing files made with Micrografx 2.0 into WordPerfect. But the printing outputs have been consistently unsatisfactory--rough and uneven lines and texts, very bumpy. If you have any idea about improving this, that would be greatly apprciated too, because I won't need to buy another drawing program. Thanks a lot in advance. Alex ==== PS: Please don't tell me to switch to WP WIN or anything Windows-based. Mysteriously, I am very allergic to the Windows screen. My brain stops working whenever I try to write anything more than 2 pages on a Windows-based wordprocessor. Any cure? :) Thanks.

Why don't you try DrawPerfect (now called WP Presentation under Windows)? I used that when I was on a DOS-only platform and it was very satisfactory as far as compatibility goes. It even comes with its own ClipBoard-like program. -- Mohamed El Louadi, Ph.D. Department of Decision Sciences and MIS Concordia University 1455 de Maisonneuve Blvd. West Montreal Quebec H3G 1M8 Tel.: (514) 848 2975 Fax: (514) 848 2824 95% of all statistics are wrong (including this one)

I may be missing something in your question, but WP's Presentation 2.0 DOS seems to fit your needs. Get it and the additional CD-ROM of vector graphics that WP was selling, then you should have all of what you want and more. -- Marvin V. I agree with Mohamed El Louadi, Ph.D., who recommended DrawPerfect, but I recommend you get the DrawPerfect for DOS, it is a very capable program and of course exports its product seamlessly to all versions of WP. Where to buy it? There is a vendor of obsolete software whose catalog I receive from time to time, I believe I saw the program in there for under $30. I can't recall the name of that vendor however. I am a user of WPWin 6.1 and also of its WPDraw program, and the files created by the combination suffer from severe "byte bloat"- they are unreasonably huge. Another option is to do your drawing in AutoCad LT, then convert the product to *.DXF format, then import into WP which can recognize the *.DXF format pretty well.
