Peachtree & Point-of-Sale?

I've got a question I hope someone out there can help me with...

I have a client that wants to buy a new POS (point-of-sale) system for
his buisness, and he wants to use it with Peachtree software.

Does anybody have any pointers on where I can find more information on
this kind of match-up? Or success/horror stories they want to tell me?

Thanks!

Does anyone know of a commercial or shareware utility that converts
Peachtree for DOS database files to a usable excel or lotus or other
windows based spreadsheet datafile? This would be without using the
peachtree worksheet files.

Thanks for your help...

TC: I don't think you are going to find a solution to this scenario,
unless one of your Peachtree experts knows of it. If one would write
a POS, the tendency would be to do it for one that would be expensive
enough to justify the cost of writing it.

You will be better off working with one of the inexpensive systems that
are designed around POS from the start. (e.g. Cougar Mountain Storeware,
MicroBiz, etc.) These products sell in high volume and spread the cost
over MANY installations.
