Its something like subst c:\dir1\dir2\dir3 q: This create a 'q:' drive which represents you search path "c:/dir1/dir2/dir3" Your path statement would then change from something like path=c:\;c:\dos;c:\windows;c:\dir1\dir2\dir3;c:\bin;c:\utils to path=c:\;c:\dos;c:\windows;q:\;c:\bin;c:\utils In my case I have also shortened c:\windows to c:\win. Every character helps.
