  For the record, I don't believe that violating a software licensing
agreement is a *criminal* matter - it is a civil matter. Even copyright
violations are civil matters though the copyright has definitive legal
standing, unlike some licensing practices. There are, however, mandated
levels of recovery *if* the copyright has been registered appropriately.
Criminal considerations would only enter if an order of the court was
violated in litigation or if an act of perjury was committed during the
action.
