Hi all,

I have a Turando 48x cd rom drive.  The CD drive light goes on when
there is a cd in the drive but not reading, and the hdd light goes on
when a cd is being read (and when the hdd is being read).

Does anyone know if there is a program, or some other way, to make it
behave "normally" - ie, the cd drive light goes on when a cd is being
read?

It is just a small problem, but annoying nonetheless :)

Nope - this is a CD-ROM drive dependant issue (only a firmware update would
fix this "issue" and they are generally not released for CD ROM drives).
Because the CD ROM is an IDE drive (an educated guess because you don't
actually say) then the IDE drive light is coming on because a CD (an IDE
device) is being read.

The CD ROM light is coming on when it does because that's the way the drive
was designed...

I got 2 PC at home.... both IDE.

One light up all the time when there is CD in the drive....
But start to blink when I run it.

The other only light up when the CD is being read.

I guess.... depend on the CDrive design (?)
