Please forgive my ignorance in the PC, but i am looking for a
comprehensive assembler that is activly supported by the vendor.
TASM does not pass the test for actively supported, as it came
to my attention after purchasing the product that it was sold
seperatly at 2.0, but in the C package is at a level greater
than 3.0. Second the macro language leaves a lot to be desired.
I.E. transfer of control within the macro (CALL, GOTO)
Constructing text strings is onerous, Inspecting text strings
is worse. Unfortunately i feel as if i could go on and on.
My background is writing assembly code for IBM mainframes
using the H assembler. If anybody has suggestions I would
greatly appreciated them, thanks in advance.
