Is there anyone out there who could point me to or send me some source code (Borland C++, Turbo C++, Turbo C, Turbo-* Other-C, Anything, in that order of preference) that successfully transmits a HP LaserJet Soft Font file directly to a LaserJet (preferably through "prn") and then images some characters using the font? I'm trying to do this rather simple thing and I can't it to work. I'm using Turbo-C++ streams, I'm using the write method, I set the stream to ios::binary and I also use the MS-DOS IOCTL to set the printer to "raw" or "binary" mode. Nevertheless, the printer just beeps at me anyway. It appears that I'm doing something incorrectly or I'm not doing something that I should. I haven't a clue anymore so I'd really like to see some code that works. Thanks for any help/insight you can provide... - Keith -- Keith R. Fieldhouse krf@ral.rpi.edu "READY?"
