I need some help with the int 33H mouse functions. I have written TSR that needs to detect the state of mouse visibility so it can pop up and turn the mouse cursor on if its off or leave it on if its on. I would like to be able to save the driver state but this being a TSR and not knowing in advance the state buffer size this becomes risky. I'd really like to be able to read the internal to driver counter that is incremented and decremented by int 33H functione 01H and 02H but don't know if I can. Currently I am trying to use the visibility state to my advantage but this has met with mixed results. It works fine raw under dos. Under Wordperfect a cursor trace is left on the screen outside my pop-up window and I get a new mouse cursor. When the window is closed and I return user control to the underlying Word Perfect the cursor trace is erased (and I swear to god I'm not doing it) and the mouse is relocated on the screen. Under FoxPro the results are even more screwy. What I need is a straightforward method for determining the visibility state or alternatly a safe way to save the old mouse driver state using that function from the TSR so that I can assure that my TSR is well-behaved under any application. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My wall is in danger of being dented by my head. Thanks, Brennecke -- Brennecke N.
