How to program TSR's?

I am an inexperienced programmer in C, and I can find nowhere in any
manual how to make a memory resident program in C for msdos.
Can someone tell me how to do this? For example, how would I program
a clock to remain in a corner of my screen while msdos is running?

Thank you in advance,

Yuval
