I read in Extending DOS edited by Ray Duncan that EMS makes use of 386's hardware page mapping technique to map extended memory to conventional memory area. So, is this more efficient than XMS which copies extended memory to conventional memory? Or are they the same because HIMEM.SYS will also utilize mapping technique even though it looks like copying?
