Try posting in comp.database.

But if I were to write the program I would write an EXE code so that the user need
not purchase additional software (i.e. dBase III+) but I would use a package that
would allow easy access to the database (i.e. DBF file format). There are a lot of
packages out there that can compile to EXE and use DBF file format but my choice
would be Clipper.

Using Clipper, your problem seems simple enough to solve but I would need more
info.

Hope I've been of some help
