MPU401 MIDI drivers - need source code

I'm looking for MS-DOS oriented source code for a driver for
MPU401 compatible MIDI cards. The code does not need to be
complicated. It would be sufficient to have assembly routines to
install/de-install the interrupt vectors, sync with the clock, and get
and send data out a MIDI port. Anything above that would make my life
easier but is not necessary. I know Music Quest sells a library for
$40, but I'm looking for something in the public domain (student
budget).
	Thanks.
