Yesterday I started reviewing Brief (in Borland's new distribution) for a magazine, but sofar I'm very disappointed. Setup bombs when I try to set my own file extensions, the manual is incomplete, contradicts itself or is plain wrong, the separation between kernel and userlayer is very foggy and the extension language (CBrief, the lisp thing isn't covered in the manual anymore) is quite incomplete (eg. apparently no arrays or structs). But the program has quite a good reputation, which surely (or hopefully?) isn't based on ads only. So can someone explain what I'm missing? And what do you like especially about the editor? And your dislikes? Thanks in advance, Ernst de Ridder P.S.
