I need to wrap a simple friendly user interface around a couple
of programs, and hope that somwone will point me at some easily
obtainable PD, shareware, or otherwise useable examples.
In short, the specifications...
The DVA Videologic card captures NTSC TV images from external sources,
and saves them in a proprietary compressed format. We've written a
program that converts these files to other formats, such as .BMP and .PCX
formats. (Many thanks to PBMPLUS, and others...) We can also convert
from .BMP back to DVA Videologic format, which the card can the disply.
All we need is a simple file requestor that allows the user to use
the mouse of arrow keys to browse around and select some files to convert,
and then select a button or two to start the work. Say one button for
"convert to dva" and another button for "convert to bmp".
I am trying to avoid reinventing the file requestor, here. I am a
converted Unix and Amiga programmer wandering through the MSDOS maze,
looking for source from which I can steal 8-) 8-)
Many thanks.
PS Don't just tell me about GrafWorks 5.1 It doesn't do the
DVA format we need, plus we can't deliver somebody else's Shareware to
our customer. It's a good program though.
