Hi,

I'm sure this is a silly question with a simple answer, but I just
can't seem to find the answer to it anywhere.  I know there's a way
to put an EGA display into a text mode with 80 cols by 43 lines, and
a VGA display with 80 x 50.  There are a lot of programs that support
these modes and they work fine on my VGA.  However, I can't seem to figure
out how to do it in my programs.  If you try to set a text mode, you can only
change the number of columns from 40 to 80 in B/W or color.  You can't change
the # of rows.  If you put the adaptor into VGA graphics mode, you can get
text output of 30 rows.  But then the text attributes don't work (because
I'm no longer in text mode).  But even then, I can't get 50 rows.  I'm sure
there must be a trick that I just don't know about.  If someone could help
me I would greatly appreciate it.
