hello all, i am pulling my hair out over this... i am writing in assembly (MASM) and my problem is this: i want to set the vga palette (in a 256 color mode) but i want to do it manually rather than using int 10...i have ferraros's book on ega/vga,but there are no examples that do this (they all use int 10)...if anyone could send me a snipet of code or tell me where i can better info, i might just decide to hold off on buying that GUN! by the way, the reason i do not want to use the int 10 is that it is too slow...i have found on some cards, that this slowness has the effect of a colorful snow at the top of the screen during rapid palette changes... please email me THANKS! daniel sill -- * "You can't have everything...where would you put it ?" * Daniel A.
